About the Event

II IWPPO 2025

The IWPPO was born from the need to discuss and find solutions for one of the greatest environmental challenges of our time: plastic pollution in the oceans. Originating from CEMEIA (Congress of Environmental Studies) and supported by CAPES (PAEP Call) and CNPq, our workshop brings together international experts in an interdisciplinary approach.

Originality

Only original works will be accepted.

Presentation Formats

Participants may present their work in one of the following formats: Oral presentation or E-poster/banner (no physical printing required).

Accepted Format

Only extended abstracts will be accepted.

Accepted Languages

Papers may be written in Portuguese, English, or Spanish.

Number of Authors/Co-authors

Each paper may have up to 6 authors/co-authors (including the main author).

Limit of Papers per Participant

Main author: up to 2 papers; Co-author: up to 5 papers.

Evaluation Criteria

Papers will be evaluated in two stages: (1) preliminary evaluation by the steering committee and (2) evaluation by the Scientific Committee, considering originality, contribution, methodological rigor, writing quality, and alignment with the state of the art.

Very Poor = 1, Poor = 2, Fair = 3, Good = 4, Very Good = 5. Papers with an average score of 4 or higher will be accepted.
E-poster/banner presentation: 1-hour display (recommended template available on the website). Oral presentation: 10-minute presentation + 5-minute Q&A (recommended template available on the website).
